About us

*sonoTECH* was founded in 1996 as a spin-off of the complete research and development department of a company that was the only developer / manufacturer of diagnostic ultrasound imaging equipment in Germany. These ultrasound systems were distributed by a medical electronics leading company under their own brand name. *sonoTECH's* Windows™ XP™ and Vista™ based LDR and HDR brachytherapy planning systems PSID™ (Permanent Seed Implant Dosimetry) and HDRplus™ / Flexiplan™ have been developed by *sonoTECH* and are distributed world-wide by highly regarded partner companies.
	Management Team
	Ulrich Wimmert, manager research & development, since his graduation (MSEE in communication technology) at the university of Wuppertal in 1980 working in research and development, for more than eighteen years for diagnostic ultrasound. Since 1990 he has been serving as director of research and development for diagnostic ultrasound. In 1997 he became chief executive officer of sonoTECH.

sonoTECH´s technical staff consists of highly qualified and talented hard- and software engineers. The majority of them is working in research and development for medical application since more than ten years.
